The Reserve Merlot is a very special wine. It originates from a microsite within our vineyard that has been identified for its superior qualities by means of Precision Viticulture.
This wine is characterised by more total tannins with finer texture, deeper colour, greater volume, and intense dark berry flavours.
Matured in 100% new oak barrels from top French cooperages for 14-24 month, it is a gorgeous wine of great complexity, rich and full-bodied. It is of seductive charm in its youth, but will age gracefully for many years.
We only produce this wine in vintages, where these characteristics are so distinct that it justifies a separate bottling, and quantities are naturally limited.
Serving suggestion: Serve at 18ºC, open at least one hour before or decant; best as companion to a gourmet dinner. Or simply enjoy on its own when mature.
